Itinerary: 3 Days Desert Tour From Marrakech To Fes
Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Gorge.
This 3-day desert tour leaves early in the morning and picks you up at 8:00 am from Marrakech to Fes. Our professional driver will pick you up from your accommodation or any other place in Marrakech. The journey will begin in Marrakech and travel through the High Atlas Mountains to the Dades Gorges. Tizi-N-Tichka is located in this upper region, about 2260 meters above sea level, and it is expected to be a long journey. We will stop and allow the visitor to take a photo to remember the breathtaking landscapes, fascinating hues and customs of the Berber people.
Ait Ben Haddou kasbah
At noon we will take you to the historic kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, after which you will have free time to explore this wonderful location that has been featured in numerous films and has been a World Heritage Site since 1987. After this short excursion, we will resume our journey in the direction of the Dades Valley. Next, we will make a stop in Ouarzazate to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt. After visiting these World Heritage sites, we will head to the green and more picturesque Dades Valley to the southeast. Also, while visiting the city of roses, tourists will be able to admire the fascinating palm tree of Skoura. Then, in the afternoon, we will try to drop you off at your accommodation when we arrive at the Dades Valley.
Day 2 : Dades Gorge - Todra Gorges - Camel Trekking - Erfoud - Merzouga.
From the Dadès Gorges we move on to another breathtaking canyon, the Todra Gorges. In addition to its geological significance, this deep and narrow valley is a photographer’s paradise, with rock walls reaching over 300 meters high and only 20 meters wide.
After that, we continue traveling toward the Sahara and the small village of Merzouga, which lies on the edge of the desert. Camels will be ready to help you cross the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Riding into a breathtaking sunset, you will stay overnight in a Berber camp.
Day 3: Merzouga - Midelt - Azrou forest - Ifrane - Fez.
We must rise early to ride the camels back to the hotel, but you won’t regret a single sleep as you witness the sun rise over the sand dunes—it’s an amazing sight. The final leg of our drive to Fes passes through Rissani, Erfoud, Errachidia, and Medilt after we have had breakfast and a shower in Merzouga. We’ll stop for lunch at Azrou’s Cedar trees so you can see and take pictures of the macaque monkeys, also called Barbary.
