Day 1: Tangier to Chefchaouen

Your adventure begins in Tangier, the gateway to Africa. After being greeted by your guide, travel through the stunning Rif Mountains to the enchanting town of Chefchaouen, also known as the “Blue Pearl of Morocco.” Famous for its blue-washed buildings and serene atmosphere, Chefchaouen is a photographer’s paradise.

Day 2: Chefchaouen to Fes via Meknes and Volubilis

Leave Chefchaouen in the morning and head toward Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities. Visit the impressive Bab Mansour Gate, the grand El Hedim Square, and the Royal Granaries.

Next, explore the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire the remarkably preserved mosaics, basilicas, and triumphal arches that reflect the grandeur of Roman history in Morocco.

Continue to Fes, the cultural and spiritual heart of Morocco, where you will spend the night in a charming riad within the historic medina.

Day 3: Fes to Merzouga via Ifrane and Azrou

Start your day with a scenic drive from Fes through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop at Ifrane, a picturesque town often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” known for its clean streets and alpine-style architecture.

Continue to Azrou, where you can visit the cedar forests and spot Barbary macaques in their natural habitat. Journey through the stunning Ziz Valley, dotted with lush palm groves and ancient kasbahs, before reaching Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert.

Day 4: Merzouga to Dades Valley via Todra Gorges

Depart Merzouga and travel through the rugged landscapes of the Todra Gorges, a dramatic canyon with towering cliffs that reach heights of over 300 meters. Day 5: Dades Valley to Marrakech via Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou

On your final day, travel along the Road of 1,000 Kasbahs, passing through the fragrant Valley of Roses. Arrive in Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Africa,” and visit the Taourirt Kasbah, a historic fortress that once belonged to the Glaoui family.

Next, explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village that has served as the backdrop for numerous films, including Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Wander through the ancient alleys and admire the stunning views from the top of the kasbah.
